A digital experience for backpackers

We worked with Lost Backpackers to bring their vision of a global backpacking community to life. From shaping their brand identity and designing a website that feels like home for travelers, to running paid campaigns that spread the word, everything was built to connect like-minded explorers.

The result is an online hub where backpackers can swap stories, dive into guides, and discover new destinations to add to their journey.

The Brief

Lost Backpackers asked us to create a full brand identity that would capture the spirit of their community of travelers. We developed the logo, visual style, and brand guidelines to give them a clear foundation and ensure they could stay consistent as they grew.

 

Alongside this, they needed a custom CMS that was easy to manage and flexible enough for their team to update with new content. To help launch the brand and site into the world, we also ran top of funnel paid ad campaigns to drive traffic and public awareness and ultimately new backpackers to their growing community.

What we did

We built a brand grounded in authentic traveller experiences, capturing the feeling of being handed insider tips to uncover hidden gems off the beaten track. Sustainability and the power of nature shaped our design choices, with bold, fluid graphic styles that reflected the energy of the outdoors and resonated with the younger audience we were targeting. The result was a complete brand package, including logo design, colour theory, fonts, and detailed brand guidelines to keep everything cohesive.

 

For the website, we designed user journeys through a UI that was both functional and visually engaging, making it easy for travellers to plan their trips. To give the Lost Backpackers team full control, we created a custom CMS that was flexible and simple to use.

 

Finally, to launch the brand and grow the community, we ran top-of-funnel awareness campaigns that drove new traffic and introduced more travellers to the platform.
